Why Did You Decide to Join Powur?

At the end of 2019, I noticed my friend Felix Vargas posting on Facebook about the work he was doing in Florida—installations, meetings, growing his team. I reached out to learn more. As soon as he explained Powur’s model, it clicked: sell, recruit, train. That was exactly what I’d done in my previous business. I realized I could apply my same skills here, but with a product and industry that aligned with something I’ve cared about since 1986: environmental conservation.

It wasn’t just a business decision; it was a mission I believed in. So in February 2020, I left Puerto Rico and moved to Florida to get started. I committed to learning everything about the company, the product, and the solar industry. And what I found was a vehicle to build a real business—one where I could succeed financially, develop others, and help protect the planet in the process.

What Is Your Favorite Thing About Helping Homeowners Go Solar?

The most rewarding part of this work is knowing that I’m making a difference. Not just by helping families save money on electricity, but by giving them the chance to take control of their finances and make a decision that contributes to something bigger.

One of my proudest examples is my first client: my aunt, Nelly Díaz. She was hesitant, even considered canceling at one point. But she followed through, installed her system, and has now saved thousands on her utility bills. She talks to everyone about it and how happy she is that she made the switch. That’s what I want for every client: to feel confident, empowered, and proud of the decision they made.

Right now, I’m also working on a project with one of my recruits, Maria Isabel Alvarez. If the system goes through, we’ll earn over $75,000 in shared commissions. But more importantly, we’ll have helped another homeowner make a powerful, informed investment in their future.

I’m passionate about building a business that creates impact, but I’m just as passionate about the people I meet along the way. I love connecting with new communities, discovering new places, and doing meaningful work that allows me to give back to the causes I care about.

Everything I do is rooted in my values: environmental stewardship, positivity, and helping others grow. Whether it’s mentoring a new teammate, educating a family about solar, or contributing to a cleaner planet, I bring energy, authenticity, and commitment to every interaction.
