First 30-Days Checklist
Welcome to Powur! The key to success in this or any business is to TAKE ACTION. Use this guide to help focus that action on the right activities at the right time to crush it in solar sales. We look forward to your success and are here to guide you every step of the way.
1. Book your Onboarding Call (Powur ON)
- Register in English

✅ Make sure you’re signed in
✅ Check out the Powur Coverage Map article
✅ Review the Market Spotlight Page for your primary desired market
✅ Read the Powur Events Knowledge Base Page to learn about our live events and check the Powur Calendar for upcoming events.
4. Plug into Powur
✅ Social Media
- Powur Pioneers – request an invite from whoever invited you to Powur
- Follow Powur on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn
✅ Reach out to whoever invited you to join
- Share with them your goals, and why you decided to join Powur
- Ask if they have a preferred network of Closer
✅ Meet your Leadership Team
- In your back office, left-hand navigation bar, select “Team”
- Select the “Leadership” tab to see who you can reach out to for additional support. Find them in Powur Pioneers or when choosing a Closer and let them know they’re on your leadership team!
- Ask your sponsor or leadership team about additional training, meetings, and learning opportunities.

5. Business Foundation
✅ Choose your focus and strategy for the next 90 days
✅ If you don’t already have one, create a business email for your solar business
✅ You can either purchase a domain or use Gmail for free yourname@gmail.com
✅ Create a Google Business Page and Facebook Business Page for your solar business.
✅ Check out the Marketing Center in your Back Office to create your own business cards, and purchase any marketing material you want to use as you get started.
✅ Business Essentials
- Go to your Profile Settings in your Back Office and complete your profile.
- Set up your eWallet in your Powur.com dashboard Profile Settings.
- Whitelist emails from Powur so you don’t miss anything important.
- Review the Seller Support Contacts Page on Knowledge Base to find help when you need it.-
- Read the Sales & Marketing Compliance Policy Page on Knowledge Base.

6. Add/follow everyone who follows/is friends with/ your close family on social media
7. Share your career update!
✅ Update your job on social media to reflect your new career
✅ Create an introductory post/video to your social networks – Example
✅ Create an IG story sticker and FB poll asking a question to see how much people are paying for electricity.
✅ Watch this LinkedIn Training video about leveraging the platform for team building and sales. (block 45 minutes in your calendar now)
✅ Create a Contact in your phone for yourself to easily share when someone asks for a card.
8. DM everyone who answered
- If you don’t know, ask them if they own their home (make sure it’s a state we service)
- Tell them you need 5 practice presentations w/ a current solar professional to help get you started in your new career
- These should be closer family/friends who will say yes
- Don’t stop at 5, just use that as a default number and try to get as many appointments as you can
- Have them send you their electric bill
9. Leverage your Phonebook, Facebook, IG, and LinkedIn

10. Once someone is interested, reach out to your team for best practices
11. Submit Your Leads on Powur.com (KB Article)
✅ Add all these people as leads in your Powur dashboard (VIDEO)
- Enter all contact info
- Enter site info
- Upload power bill
- Click Create Lead
- Click lead name and then click Qualify Lead
- Repeat this step for all leads
✅ When the leads are classified as Projects, select your Closer
- Select any Closer from Powur
- Ask them for their availability and process
- Consider trying multiple Closers to see who you vibe with best
- Reach out to Closers to give them a heads-up that you added them and ask them to request a proposal
- Proposals usually come back within 24 hours

12. Once proposal comes back, work with your Closer to schedule a meeting w/ your lead
- If your Closer has a scheduling link, use theirs to help book your lead
- It’s helpful to your own scheduling app to share if needed (i.e. Calendly)

13. Sit in on the presentations w/ the Closer
- At the end, say you need 2-3 more of these practice meetings w/ a Closer and ask your lead if they have 1-2 people who might be interested in seeing how much they can save by switching to solar
- This is a great time to discuss the ambassador program and tell them that they can get $1000 if the person they refer ends up getting solar
14. Repeat steps 7-13 forever
- Eventually, you can get away from using the Closer if you choose
- Typically 1 out of every 5 presentations will turn into a deal
- There are 3 ways to win w/ the presentations
- They end up getting solar
- They become an ambassador
- They refer you other leads
15. Organize Your Leads in a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) System
- Don’t let anyone fall through the cracks, have a good follow-up plan
- Organize into ABCDs
- A- has appointment
- Follow-up/confirm day before appointment
- B- expressed interest to do something in the next 90 days
- Reach out the 1st & 3rd week of the month
- C- interested in doing something 90+ days down the road
- Reach out the 2nd week of the month
- D- people who aren’t interested at the time
- Reach out quarterly and share updates – things change!
- A- has appointment
- Organize into ABCDs
- Use this Google Sheet as a CRM if you don’t have one (MAKE A COPY)
16. Leverage success on social media
✅ Leverage other’s success
- One of our team members helped this family in (city) save $xxx/mo on their solar bill. Let’s connect to see how much I can save you!
- Create more buzz with Powur’s Social Media Assets
✅ Leverage your own proposals
- Regardless if the proposal led to a sale yet, you can show the savings
✅ Put Calls to Action in your post
- Let’s see how much I can save you?
- Not a homeowner but know someone who could use solar? I can get you $1000 if they choose solar
GUIDE
17. Follow up with your homeowner
✅ Say Thank you with a Homeowner Welcome Kit (ask your Closer to include this)
✅ Check in 3 months post-install to see if their bill has changed!
✅ Build out your ambassador program
