The steps below are designed to guide you through the most important activities to build a strong and lucrative solar sales business and perform at a high level in residential solar sales.
Your Success Plan
Week 1
- Complete Setter Certification
In just 20 minutes, you’ll learn everything you need to start submitting leads and earning. Once you complete your Setter Certification, you’ll unlock the ability to submit leads and start making an impact.
- Join Powur Up: The Launch and Powur Up: The Handoff
Whether you’re brand new or just getting started, this one-hour training is designed to help you fast-track your first payday. You’ll learn proven strategies from top-performing professionals, discover the tools that drive results, and take real action toward your personal goals.
- Enter your first lead
When you have a lead, submit it to the Powur platform and set an appointment with a Closer to get the sales process started. What is your lead generation goal? How many phone calls do you need to make to hit that goal?

- Have your first onboarding call with your sponsor
Book a quick call with your Sponsor—the person who referred you. They’ll have insider tips, real-world strategies, and golden nuggets to help you hit the ground running and start setting appointments like a pro!
- Contact your sponsor
- Set up your e-wallet
Powur pays Independent Powur Sellers through an international payment platform called e-Wallet. You can set up e-Wallet from your dashboard in Profile Settings and check out this knowledge base page for detailed instructions:
- Contact family and friends
Creating a Warm List means listing everybody you know and anybody you can think of. It is the single most important way to grow your business from Day 1 and set yourself up for success as quickly as possible. Watch this video to learn more about warm list building:

Week 2
- Join Pioneers and friends
If you’re not on Facebook already, you’ll want to set up an account to join Powur’s official Facebook group. This private community is designed exclusively for Powur Setters. Here, you can collaborate, share strategies, and engage with fellow Setters and Powur’s corporate team.
- Learn the basics of solar
Conversations stall because they lack confidence in explaining fundamental solar concepts – making lead generation unnecessarily challenging. The truth is: you don’t need to be an expert to start submitting leads – you just need the basics.

- Create your list
The Master List is the foundation of any successful solar campaign and forms the basis of your sales pipeline. It serves as the main source for discovering and connecting with high-quality homeowner candidates for solar, and candidates for growing your team.
- Create your list
- Update your social profiles
Add your Powur business to your social profiles and create new posts about your solar business on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and any other social platforms you’re on. Why solar? Why are you in solar? Include personal stories, images, and text in your posts and stories to share what might be important to you and your future customers and team members.
How? Utilize Powur’s Social Media Assets and other tools you can find in the Marketing Center to intrigue more of your followers.
- Create your first post about your solar business
- Set 3-5 quality appointments
The difference between occasional success and consistent results often comes down to repetition and mastering the appointment setting process from start to finish. Set just 5 appointments within your first 30 days, and you’ll earn a $250 Quick Start Bonus on top of your regular $250+ in commissions. That’s a $500 opportunity just for getting started strong!

Week 3
- Attend skill-building workshop
Join upcoming Setter Surge events for daily prospecting training and accountability. Looking to build out your pipeline? Set yourself up for success in Powur and put in the WORK to make it happen!
- Practice objection handling techniques
Homeowner objections are not uncommon during the sales process, and chances are your customers will have at least a few questions about solar that you get to clarify. Even if they don’t ask a lot of questions, common objections can be addressed directly in your presentation and you should be prepared to talk about them.

- Set 5+ quality appointments

- Refine your talk track

- Create your Daily Schedule
Your routine matters! When you own your routine, you own your day. Start getting into the rhythm of a successful routing by creating a daily calendar that you can stick to. Block your time based on your goals, and the activities you need to accomplish to achieve those goals. Be consistent!
